On a stretching class we are working on toning and stretching the targeted muscle or muscle groups with isometric (without displacement) exercises .Sitting or standing for a long period of time, or bad posture results contracted (tight) , sore muscles. Stretching is exactly what is needed to erase the tightness and pain and restore the muscle to normal. It requires muscle and joint flexibility, to improve the muscles,to enhance endurance and to have a well balanced musclemovement.
